Season's Greetings!

LaTour Friends,

I hope the end of the year finds all of you wiser and anticipatory for the coming year. If asked how I felt the LaTour Community faired this year, I would have to say, “We held our own!” As much as 2020 was unpredictable, 2021 was revealing and centering. As a community LaTour has pressed through the fears that covid brought, pressed into helping each other through difficulties, and pressed on to new life and perspectives.

On the other side of a major world event that has shifted the economy, government, and what we viewed as normal processes, the LaTour community is facing the need to make adjustments as well. As we face higher costs for services and products, shifts will be needed in the means to provide for the resources valued by LaTour. Everyone has embraced the changes brought on and shown patience and grace while walking through the challenging last 2 years. Together, we will make the shifts needed to see the LaTour community into this new season.

I am so happy we are once again able to gather for celebrations, parties, and fun! I pray for each of you to be filled with faith and hope. May you have a wonderful holiday season, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Terri Powell
President

LaTour Updates

Building Structural Assessment
In October, EFI Global did a walk through of the building and will be providing a report on any structural assessment considerations for the building. They had no immediate concerns.

Boiler & Chiller Evaluation
A thorough evaluation is being done on the boiler/chiller systems to set up maintenance processes to help stabilize utility usage and repairs to equipment.

Wi-Fi Improvement
A tip for better wifi in units is to add a wifi extender to your existing router. Terri recently did this and found it to work and relieve much frustration at a low cost!

Pigeon Deterrent Update
We're continuing to explore ways to eliminate the pigeon issue. A new possibility is a product that repels through scent, texture, and sight. Be watching for more information on this coming soon!
